I would like to thank you for your format in sending the answers.
Online contests I've tooken part in had the '2hr time limit' and started in a specific time.
The time zones don't match and I usually find myself at 3am with only half the time remaining...
So I do appreciate your idea even though it encourages cheating.

And what´s the problem with it? If somebody would like to cheat so let´s cheat. We make a tournament for people who would like to try to solve other than classical puzzles. It´s only for fun, we don´t play to win some prizes or even worse money.
The main purpose is to have fun with sudoku and to try to beat my friends who´ll compete too.
If there will be a cheater i TOP10 who couldn´t be catched we can´t do anything. There is a lot of puzzles and if somebody would like to solve it before he start´s to solve on his own, I can say only: "You have cheated only yourself".
If you´ll spend one half of the day with solving our puzzles and then you´ll try to play on the other account, that´s problem which we can´t reduce at all.

I think that good players can show what they can on their own championships or on the world championship.

We don´t like to reduce a time limit for players, because it´s the idea of this action. You can start whenever you want. It´s your choice to choose the best moment.
If you´ll have some idea how ho reduce cheaters otherway I´ll be very glad to hear it.
I´m also very glad, that you think about this action and you are trying to help us to prepare it the best way.

You sure cant avoid it but you can always reduce it!! with the format you mentioned there is maximum chances of cheating!!

And for this occasion there is also the surprise. I have prepared it with my program for many hours. It wasn´t easy to generate that puzzle.
If there will be some kind of cheating, that we could prove the player would be deleted.

We have talked about this theme for a long time and the conclusion was that nobody can avoid cheating on the internet. This is the reason, why we don´t have any prices!

but then you cant avoid cheating..... i mean i can solve it early in the morning and easily call any of my friends in my country (not that i will do it...just giving an example). Or rather a specific 2 hrs time for specific zones....as in people from Asia start at10 am GMT and similarly different for US and Europe??!! that will minimize cheating to great extent...!!

Yes, thats right. We´d like to prepare a tournament for players all over the world. So we will use the 24 hours model. You have a choice which two hours you´d like to spend with solving our tournament.

Then it won´t be a problem for people in Japan or in US.
The only problem could be if someone doesn´t know any language of our offer

So we hope, there will be a lot of people and that it´ll be fun for everyone.

It looks like you will have your choice of when to start the packet of puzzles. According to the Introduction, you get to pick which two hours of the 24 hours of the competition you will spend on the puzzles. So you may go from 800-1000 GMT, and I may choose to go from 1600-1800 GMT.

cause if its after 5:30 GMT many from India and further East side wont be able to participate and if its early then US people wont be able to participate...!!

hmm.... very interesting types.... will need to work on the news ones to find out the strategy n all...!!

I´d like to ask what is the important puzzle activity and if it will be possible something about the time schedule?

Jason from the US here. The Cup is the same day as an important puzzle activity, which may keep some players from participating, but I'm sure there will be plenty of American representatives. I'm telling my friends, for one thing...

Be on the lookout, though -- that "detuned" character has been known to post some pretty fast times.
