can u please help me with these puzzles?
i didn't understand how toroidal sudoku works.
i didn't understand BENT diagonal either. does it mean the numbers shouldn't be repeated along the four lines?
i don't know how to solve GT and Thermo- sudoku either.
i could find only 5 numbers in Non-consecutive.
Yes, you're right. There are cells on the edge which belongs to both boxes (to the box on the left and right side or to the box on the top and bottom).
And when you try to count these boxes so there are 10 of them.
Just try to mark them with a cross (including the toroidal rule)...
The competition puzzle is very similar to the one in the booklet.
i thought i had understood toroidal sudoku fully. i even solved the practice puzzle but when i tried to solve the competition puzzle i had a problem. i have a question first. in the description it says "each of ten marked region contain the digits". i can't find ten. secondly, the three gray cells are the continuation of their adjacent 6 cells forming a 9 cell region, right?
tnx alot for the reply. know i fully understand bent diagonal. i also solved competition puzzle's non-consecutive
tnx for the complete and easy explanation! i learnt toroidal and bent diagonal. i'll work on GT, Thermo-sudoku and non-consecutive later
Toroidal sudoku has numebers on the edge. These numbers are the same on the left side and on the right side, and on the top and on the bottom.
If we say that there are 11 columns and 11 rows then the number in cell (1,2) (row, column) is the same as in the cell (11,2).
And the same works for cell (2,1) which is the same like cell (2,11).
Is it clear now?
Bent diagonal sudoku contains 4 diagonals.
Example: c (1,1), c (2,2), c (3,3), c (4,4), c (5,5), c (6,4), c (7,3), c (8,2), c (9,1)
and there are three more of them
GT sudoku is necessary to try to find first of all numbers with less conditions. These numbers are 1 and 9 (because any other number can be smaller as 1 and any other one can be greater as 9). When you have 1 and 9 you can try to find 2, 3... 8, 7...
Every puzzle is different, so it depends.
Thermo sudoku is necessary to try to find the numbers within the thermometer (or to write there pencilmarks). To decide what numbers can this thermometr contain.
Because there is the <> rule, so it is necessary to use it
In the practice puzzle? I can try to help you with the solution
